Forming in early 2009 Quaero Verum spent their formative months crafting a number of songs that drew inspiration from all facets of metal, determined to create a sound that could see them float seamlessly from the most beautiful melody to the most crushing Groove in an instant.

Late 2009 saw vocalist Steve Labadi join the fold and quickly impose himself on the already powerful arsenal of songs, adding a new element that took the music to another level and gave the band even more freedom to diversify their sound.

With the line up finally settled QV set about making their imprint on the metal world with a number of blistering sets across Adelaide with some of Australia’s best metal exponents, including the likes of Blackwater, Immortal Threat, Arcadia and Victorian based Sydonia.

Their inaugural year as a performing ensemble was capped off by spending a week atop of the Triple J unearthed metal chart as well as receiving national airplay on Triple J ‘Full Metal Racket’. Further support was shown by local stations, Tune FM Armidale, Triple R FM Melbourne and FBI Radio Sydney all of whom featured a song off of the bands three track demo in their programming.

Quaero Verum will look to capitalize on a very successful debut year by unleashing a whole new array of songs that will spread their blend of melody, ruthless aggression and infectious grooves to the masses and further develop an already loyal fan base.
